The stories alive project was a project that was based on taking something meaningful, and something that we as individuals would like to research and learn more about, and turning the research and knowledge into a poem or narrative. Going through four steps, research and becoming familiar with almost everything that pertains to your topic. Two, building a sketch note which visualize your research and helps you grow your learning and knowledge. Three, building your poem or narrative, a story that is unique to yourself and an adventure that displays all your learning into one final piece. Four, presenting your piece to an audience, present with emotion and pride.
The significance of this project is taking learning int your hands, working at your own pace and completing work knowing that you're walking away more knowledgeable then you were before.

- The most significant learning experience, was when I actually saw the truth behind the media. When you see the media and news on North Korea, they just say the same thing over and over again. But when you take it into your own hands you learn so much more. And that's exactly what happened.
- The best work that I did was definitely the narrative. I felt that I was really able to capture the picture of a North Korean citizen.
- I think the most challenging portion of this project was capturing what I wanted in my art piece. I wanted to capture certain problems in North Korea that are a little different then what the media shows. I wanted to capture immigration and internment camps, because at the end of the day people want to leave, but when they try and leave and immediately captured they're sent to the internment camps.
- Everything struck with me, everything that I've learned, read, watched all of it will stick with me. I just find these kind of things interesting. I feel like this is my way of learning what other people outside of the US have to face and what the benefits and disadvantages are.
